Steno's Great Mistake

The Geologic Column Has Collapsed: We Are Young Again!!! (The Misconceptions of Geology Which Have Misdated The Earth For So Many Years Have Been Scientifically Proven False)

In 1669, Nicholas Steno gave the world more than one error recently falsified by experiment, but one of Steno's Misconceptions --- and a Great Misconception it was --- is an error men and women have been using ever since to build up monumental mis-interpretations of the earth by means of which to mislead themselves about the History and Age of the Earth. Those men and women have been busy building their mis-interpretation for about 330 years since Steno first advanced his Great Misconception. Today the descendants of the first men and women to embrace Steno's Great Misconception are proclaiming their mis-interpretations to be 'fact', when they are simply false. NASA in particular is very much misled by Steno's Great Misconception today (into thinking the Earth and the Universe were very old). Now Steno's Two Misconceptions have been refuted by experiment, and that Refutation was highlighted by a Presentation at the 14th International Congress of Sedimentology; but it takes such Refutations a while to get out and to get known, and to be incorporated into the various textbooks to correct the former errors which have been spread far and wide, so today most people still do not know these facts. The Refutation of Steno's Great Misconception is so important that it has been made into a presentation for the public in the video "Evolution: Fact or Belief?", in a section of that video entitled "Drama In The Rocks". So those who are willing to learn can discover the error of those Misconceptions. But we will have to wait and see how long men and women committed to false ideas built upon those Misconceptions will continue to follow Steno's Great Misconception even after it has been exposed. Steno's Great Misconception, like a bad lens distorting the vision, has been used by so many men and so many women, for so long, in exxagerating the age of the earth (they have their whole concept of Life, and their whole reputation and career riding on their false interpretations), that it will not be easy for them to realize, and/or acknowledge their error. This article highlights the worst of Steno's Two Misconceptions, showing how men and women have used Steno's Worst Misconception to produce a distorted age for the earth misleading even NASA today, especially in the development of NASA's Materialist (Religious) "Life From Matter Left To Itself" Program. NASA abandons science and ventures into unfounded materialist religion contrary to science with that program derived in part from Steno's Misconceptions: NASA abandons science with that program since matter left to itself is scientifically and demonstrably unable to produce Life, or even the smallest Critical Components of it, as is shown herein.

Steno's Worst Misconception was the claim, now falsified experimentally, that separate sedimentary strata (or banks) were formed individually and separately, one 'after' another, many years apart, with the alleged result that they would have different ages. But experiment has demonstrated quite the contrary: experiment has demonstrated the conflicting truth that "many strata form all together, all at once, in many single deposition events, and may be multiply-formed in groups at a time, superimposed upon one another, in virtual simultaneity, in a single major geological event, like a volcanic eruption or confluence of volcanic eruptions". It is (or, more precisely, was) a simultaneous and prolonged cataclysm consisting of universal undersea volcanic eruptions lasting 5 continuous months that shaped and formed our continentally-proportioned sedimentary banks. It is (or, more precisely, was) a universal cataclysm of pan-volcanic sub-oceanic eruptions lasting 5 months exactly as described in the historical record given in Genesis Chapter 6 of the Bible that formed the greater portion of our sedimentary banks superimposed upon one another, while, with the rapid underwater crustal breakup, shifting of continental structures, re-locating our continents from their former locations, while raising some former undersea sponge reefs above sea level (so many castles in Europe are built on those very sponge reefs) and sinking former dry lands below the oceans.

"On .. that same day all the fountains of the great deep were broken up and burst forth, and the windows and flood gates of the heavens were opened ... And the waters prevailed upon the earth (or lands) 150 days --- five months." Genesis 7, verses 11 and 24, The Holy Bible

"ALL THE FOUNTAINS OF THE GREAT DEEP" which "WERE BROKEN UP AND BURST FORTH" (for a continuous 5 months, since the Bible records that THE WATERS CONTINUED TO RISE FOR 5 MONTHS) means EVERY SUB-OCEANIC SOURCE OF FLOW CAPABLE OF PRODUCING A HIGHER LEVEL OF THE OCEANS (i.e., THE GREAT DEEP). THOSE FOUNTAINS thus had to include ALL THE VOLCANOS OF THE OCEAN FLOOR, OF WHICH THERE ARE PERHAPS MANY TENS OF THOUSANDS, SINCE RECENTLY 5,000 WERE FOUND WITHIN ABOUT THE SPACE OF JUST THE STATE OF MONTANA), AND THEY WERE ALL ERUPTING CONTINUOUSLY FOR A PERIOD OF 5 MONTHS, PRODUCING A SHATTERING AND RAPID SHIFTING OF THE EARTH'S CRUST AND CONTINENTS, WITH MASSIVE SEDIMENTARY FLOWS AND MULTIPLE BANK DEPOSITIONS, FOLLOWED, WHEN THE LANDS WERE AT LAST ALLOWED TO RE-EMERGE FROM UNDER THE SEDIMENT-LADEN WATERS, MANY CANYONS CUT BY RUN-OFFS, AND ICING/GLACIERIZATIONS OF THE POLES.

Steno claimed that higher strata form 'after' lower strata, so he alleged the higher strata to be "younger" than lower strata; but experiment has now shown that higher strata form at the same time as lower strata are forming, so Steno's idea is now falsified experimentally, the true fact being demonstrated that many strata form together, all at once, in any given deposition --- which brings us to realize the implication that the diverse Kinds of Living Creatures buried and fossilized in any given multi-strata sedimentary formation were all living at the same time, not in different times, contrary to what is so-often alleged today.

In the words of Guy Berthault, who led the water-tank demonstrations at Colorado State University showing how multi-bank sediments are really deposited:

"During the experiments, superposed strata formed under continuous settling. Strata are not younger than the underlying strata and older than the overlying strata. Strata are the same age at all points." ... "The true mechanism of sedimentation revealed by our flume experiments refutes, inter alia, the foundations of the geological column, and therefore, challenges the geological time-scale." ... "Geologists are now obliged to abandon the principles invalidated by our experiments."

In the last 350 years all sorts of fictions have been built on Steno's Misconception --- in particular the false notion of alleged 'macro-evolution': the idea that any one kind of Living Thing ever formed as a consequence of the properties of matter left to itself, and supposedly changed into other kinds, time after time. That cannot happen, as articles on this site conclusively document. But men and women would have been hard-pressed to come up with that misinterpretation if they had known that all those sedimentary strata formed at the same time and contained the remains of Diverse Kinds of Creatures all living at the same time in their diverse ecospheres (hence not ancestral to one another in anything but their normal parent-offspring relationship).

Steno's Misconception should perhaps be called Steno's Myth, or Steno's Lie, depending on what his real intent was in promulgating it, since the resulting deception has been so great. The facts now established show that in sedimentary deposits many strata are formed "all at once, and are thus of the same age", so the creatures buried in them also were living at the same time --- not at different times. Steno may have been laughing at the world from his grave since he had taught men that each of the strata were formed "one at a time, in different times", and men used that idea to mislead themselves about the creatures whose remains were entombed in the simultaneously- (but they thought sequentially-) formed sedimentary strata. Whereas in reality "all sedimentary strata in a given deposit are formed at once and have the same age", Steno's Misconception claimed that "each strata was a different deposit, so higher strata were supposedly "younger" than the lower strata on which they rested. That was, and is, Steno's Great Misconception which so many men have followed to misdate the earth, and by which they misdate it still. For when they see many different strata containing many different kinds of Living Things in them, instead of understanding those different strata as simultaneous formations, and the Diverse Kinds of Living Things in the simultaneous strata as simultaneously-existing inhabitants of simultaneously existing diverse ecospheres, they misinterpret the different strata as being formed separately, at different times, of different ages, a Great Misconception tracing right back to Steno, a Great Misconception about when the Diverse Kinds of Living Things fossilized in the strata really lived.

Have you ever seen many sedimentary banks formed all at the same time? Have you seen the most revolutionary discovery in Sedimentology, the fact that various banks are simultaneously formed superimposed on (and underneath) one another, all in one simultaneous process, when lots of sediment is being propelled and deposited? You will be able to see it, as soon as I get as copy of an existing VHS-video file placed in a caption on this page. For in the Engineering Lab at Colorado State University, those Sedimentologists have demonstrated that multiple over-lying (and under-lying) Sedimentary Banks are formed with uneroded, flat facing contacts between them in one continuous process, together, all at once, in groups, simultaneously, the lack of erosion showing that no time passed between the formation of the respective Sedimentary Banks. Whole groups of banks are formed simultaneously, and groups of groups, given a short-order series' of waves of transported sediments being deposited by such continuous processes. One wave of groups is formed over another wave of groups, in a multi-wave Sedimentary Event. The fact that such multi-bank sedimentary formations are formed simultaneously, in one continuous process --- rather than over widely separated periods of time --- dethrones Steno's Great Misconception, promulagated in the 1600's. Steno's Great Misconception claimed that lower banks were older (supposedly formed earlier) than higher banks (supposedly formed later): but in reality, any time that you see Sedimentary Banks with uneroded, flat facing contacts between them, such lack of erosion showing that no time elapsed between their formations, the many Banks so formed were formed in one simultaneous process, which means that all their contents, all the Diverse Kinds of Living Things in the various banks formed at once, had to be living all at the same time, to be deposited in the simultaneous multi-bank formations at the same time. That ought to be the end of the evolutionary nonsense alleging one Kind ever changed into any other Kind: they all lived together, were all deposited at once, in one process, over several months of horrendous earth-restructuring. That is what Genesis Chapter 7 through Genesis Chapter 12 is really telling us about, Chapter 12 being the Chapter which reports the rapid decline of human lifespan after the Great Restructuring, the Great Cataclysm, the "Sediment-Moving, ALL Volcanic, Oceanic, Immersing, Cataclysmic, Eruptive EVENT", the "SMALL VOICE EVENT". My account of that EVENT (capitalized for the MAGNITUDE of it) in verse is called:

From The Beginning, The Real History of the Earth In Space (the title I apply may vary slightly according to the desired topical emphasis).

Once you have seen the multiple Sedimentary Banks forming all at one time, superimposed on one another, just add to that the Living Things tumbled about in those Sediments as they were being laid down into the Superimposed Banks, in that one continuous process, and you will have a true and valid picture of our how the main features of our Fossil-Bearing Sedimentary Banks were formed --- in one continuous process, during the Great Cataclysm of Genesis Chapter 7 through Chapter 12. Chapter 7 reports that ALL the Volcanic Fountains of the Great Deep erupted for about 5 months solid: and that means the Continents moved, as the Sediments, and all the Simultaneously-Living Creatures Great and Small, including God's Dinosaurs, and other Giants, of Genesis 6:4, and Job Chapters 40 and 41 ("his tail like a cedar tree"), were deposited all at once, all together, into those simultaneously-formed Sedimentary Banks.

Scholars need to realize what an error Steno's Great Misconception is, and stop teaching his Misconception, since the fact is that multiple banks are laid down all at once, in one continuous process. Humanity needs to get over Steno's Great Misconception. When you go on your vacation, and see Sedimentary Banks formed on top of (and underneath) one another, with flat facing contact planes between them, without erosion in the Underlying, which shows no time elapsed between formation of the Overlying on the Underlying, you need to understand that such formations are formed all in the same single process of deposition, not as separate banks at separate times, as Steno's Misconception claimed. There never were any of those so-called 'evolutionary periods' of different Kinds of Living Things allegedly existing separately: the Diverse Kinds of Living Things in our main Sedimentary Bank formations all existed together, simultaneously, and were buried in one continuous process, together, in a few short months. That is the only way such tremendous volumes of sediment move: in the midst of horrendous and horrific earth movements whose power cannot possibly pick out one sediment at a time to move that sediment alone: earth movements of such power can only move Many sediments, the Diverse Sediments of whole Ecospheres, at one time. We are talking about sediments blanketing whole states in Banks of great depth, with Diverse Living Things entombed in them, movements of sediment which formed the very lands we walk on, which we ride our cars on, and fly over, for hundreds or even thousands of miles at a stretch. Those sediments required tremendous multi-volcanic action to move them, involving lots of water, and minerals spewed out of the core of the earth which found their way into those Sedimentary Banks, where the radioactive minerals were absorbed by the Dino-Creatures bones, and Iridium from the Earth's core got laced into the Sedimentary Banks (no asteroid could have moved such sediments, so no asteroid could have gotten that Iridium into those Sedimentary Banks).

And that leaves us with no remaining reason to think that the Earth is not young, just as the Bible tells us; that leaves us with no reason to think that the Earth is any older than our ancestors thought it was: it was our misconception, misled by Steno's Great Misconception, a distortive lens, which had us misconstruing the Earth to be old. If you are concerned that there were some other reason to think the Earth were old, like for instance, the notion of so-called 'radiometric dating', let me tell you why that is really nothing, and quite invalid. To begin with, as Professor David Fastovsky of the University of Rhode Island and Professor David Weishampel of Johns-Hopkins University admit in their evolutionary-materialist book "The Evolution and Extinction of the Dinosaurs", on page 23, you first have to know

"the original amount of parent isotope"

in any rock sample in order to date it. But we never do. We cannot know that, because we were not there when any rock was formed. (Rocks known to have been formed recently, such as in Mount St. Helens eruption just 12-years before the rocks were "dated", "dated" at hundreds of thousands to millions of years old because of the false assumptions of the radiometric method.) We would have to know there was no aterial in the rock when it was formed which could later be mistaken for a decay-product, but such material (such as naturally-occurring lead) naturally exists in rocks entirely apart from any decay process, and such material can be and is mistaken for decay product by those who are not careful about their assumptions. Those authors go on to admit that such methods

"cannot be used directly on dinosaur bone. Indeed, one must find a source of radioactive isotopes which commonly occur in a variety of forms in igneous rocks, such as those blasted from a volcano. Then, the age of the igneous rock can be obtained. No dinosaur lived within a volcano, and so the challenge is then to correlate in time the dinosaur bone with the volcanic event"

But as we saw when Mount St. Helens violently erupted, lots of water is involved in such eruptions and the resulting sedimentary depositions. Such water leaches away the radioactive salts tested for in the radiometric 'dating' methods. The authors go on to say that even using volcano data (as if that were worth anything), the problem is that volcanoes do not typically exist everywhere would-be daters want to date. So they turn to "biostratigraphy", which is "dating by fossils in different banks", and that is Steno's Misconception again. The evolutionary materialists ASSUME from Steno's Misconception that different strata in one multi-strata formation were formed in different periods, when in reality they were formed at exactly the same time --- as we have just learned, Steno's Misconception has been invalidated by experiment in the Engineering Laboratory. Here is how those authors put their own version of Steno's Misconception, in their own words:

"Biostratigraphy is a method of relative dating that uses fossil organisms. It is based upon the idea that a particular time interval can be characterized by specific organisms, because different creatures lived at different times. For example, if one knows that dinosaurs lived from 228 million years ago to 65 million years ago, then any rock containing a dinosaur bone fragment must fall within that age range."

But not only were the sediments formed together, rather than separately, as these authors think, here they are trying to data a rock to date a fossil with an unknown date, so how can they turn to the fossil with the unknown date to date the rock? Their circular answer defeats their own question! In trying to date a rock, to date a fossil (showing they don't have a date for the fossil to begin with), it is quite impossible to turn around to the dateless fossil and derive from the dateless fossil a date for the rock! Their whole idea is nothing except circular, misconceived, baseless, and therefore invalid, inaccurate assumption. Yet as many evolutionary-materialist books will point out, the basic dating order for fossils was "set in stone" way back before radioactivity was even discovered. And as Richard Fortey of the British Museum of Natural History put it in his Harvard University Press book "Fossils: Key To the Past", on page 31 (paperback):

"Radiometric ages always carry a margin of error (+/-) of some magnitude, and certainly more than the length of time for a fossil zone. So the relative time scale provided from fossil evidence is more accurate, and the use of fossils is not likely to be displaced by radiometric ages."

If radiometric dating is no help to date a fossil (they try to date the rock to date the fossil), how can they turn around and give a date to the rock from the undated fossil? Fortey refers to "the relative time scale provided from fossil evidence". What Fortey is referring to is again Steno's Misconception: 'dating' by the ASSUMPTION that the Banks in which the fossils are found were 'formed in different periods'. Steno's Misconception just pops up like some Medusa-headed devil. The truth is that any time we find banks formed with flat, uneroded contact faces between them, that lack of erosion testifies no time passed between the multi-bank formations, so we are not looking at banks formed at different times, but at groups of banks formed at the same time, in one continuous, simultaneous process, including possibly a series of many such multi-bank formation continuous processes.

In these days of furor, fervor, and boundless hype-propaganda deceptively designed to lead America (and the world) to waste its resources (money, natural resources, and lives) to hunt for Life alleged to result from the properties of matter left to itself, in space, the key thing to know scientifically about Life and the history of the Earth and Space is the fact that dust and water, gas and minerals left to themselves cannot possibly produce Life, and cannot possibly have ever produced it on Earth, on Mars --- or on any other planet or asteroid. The chemistry of Life is too different from the chemistry of matter left to itself. Life and Non-living matter are separated by the Particular Polymer/Non-Polymer Divide. Life has now been studied much more closely than it could be in previous centuries, and it has been learned that Life is made of very Particular Polymers, Giant Chain Molecules (chained combinations of elements) which matter left to itself does not even make, let alone arrange into vastly complex Interactive, Inter-Dependent, Simultaneously Essential, Co-Operative Functional Organs of Living Cells; or into bodies made of vast Assemblies of such Cells into Interactive, Inter-Dependent, Simultaneously Essential, Co-Operative Functional Organs of Multicellular bodies.

Though Robert Hazen's book "Why Aren't Black Holes Black?" is generally evolutionary-materialist in tone (materialists are the ones who hew to the anti-scientific faith that Reproductive Life originated from matter left to itself), the facts of Life stand out so clearly that we find in even Hazen's book some testimony to the failures of the doctrines of the religion of evolutionary materialism, including specifically the fact that matter left to itself does not even make significant general polymers (this is from page 165 in the paperback):

"Research into pre-biotic chemistry hits a serious snag when it comes to transforming monomers into polymers. . . . The large molecules, the large and complex Polymer-molecules essential to Life, the proteins with dozens or hundreds of amino acids, RNA, and DNA formed with long chains of nucleotides, or cellulose assembled from countless individual sugar molecules -- do not appear spontaneously, even in carefully devised environments with high concentrations of monomers. Indeed, these macromolecules appear to be quite unstable. Even when two monomers link up or polymerize, they often will just as quickly disintegrate or de-polymerize under water-rich conditions."

You want to find water in space? Fine. Send out your rockets if water is that valuable to you, but do not expect to find Life with whatever water you find. Water destroys even the simplest of general polymers, as we have just seen, and water never spontaneously forms, or tolerates the formation of, the Particular Polymers of Life, in their Requisite Structural, Co-operative Organ Arrangements. For that matter, no matter of any kind left to itself ever produces even the Critical Component parts of the Particular Polymers of Life, in any distribution close to that used in Life, if, left to itself, it ever produces anything related to those Critical Components, like even the wrong kind of amino acids, at all. Those facts may be studied in NSF winner and Genetics Educator Gary Parker's excellent book, "Creation: Facts of Life", as well as in the related book by Parker and Morris (with too long and distinguished a scientific career to go into here), their book being entitled "What Is Creation Science?", as well as in Biochemist Duane Gish' monograph entitled "Speculations and Experiments Related to Theories On the Origin of Life: A Critique". These books have become available over the years because for many centuries the Bible has made many scientists wise enough to look and see that Science points to Creation, not to the production of Life by matter left to itself, and such scientists have been working hard to combat deception to the contrary and get that information to others. Any fool given any data at all, should see be able to recognize these facts. It is only the power of sin, and its temptation which makes us want to conform with the misguided, to gain the approval of the many who are on the pathway to destruction, of which Jesus warns us (in Matthew 7:13,14), which leads so many to deliberately blind themselves into believing the impossible.

Since matter left to itself does not even make the Very Particular Polymers used in Living Cells, still less does it ever make such Living Cells; and since it does not make Living Cells, how much less could matter left to itself ever produce Multi-Cellular Bodies composed of Organs made out of such Cells (that matter does not even make)? Yet the bodies of Living Things are made out of Organs made out of such cells made in turn out of those Particular Polymers made of Critical Components, and such Organs, like the Cells, are also Interactive, Interdependent, Simultaneously Essential, and Co-Operative. All those Organs, all those Cells, and all those Particular Polymers composed of those Critical Components must all work together harmoniously and simultaneously for there to be any Life at all.

If (as is the case) matter left to itself cannot produce even the Particular Polymers of Living Cells, it is even more the case that matter left to itself cannot produce (lacks the organizational properties to produce) any of the "Vastly Complicated, Programmed and Engineered, Interactive, Co-Operative, Co-Essential, Co-Dependent Functional Working Sub-Assemblies" (Organs) of Cells, or any of the same sort of (I must abbreviate) "V-C, PaE, I, C-O, C-O, C-D, FWS-A" of those Cells into Organs of much more complicated bodies,
Multi-Cellular Bodies.

So matter left to itself is a hopeless case to look to for the Assembly of Life, but it is up to us all to recognize the evidence, as well as the explicit and implicit testimonies to that scientific fact in the Holy Bible, which tell us in The Book of Genesis, Chapter One, ten times, that since matter being unable to produce any Life (or else God would not have gotten involved, God made all the Living Things "each according to its Kind, with seed in them, each according to its Kind". We are told that ten times, in the context of Genesis Chapter One.

The Particular Polymers used in the construction of Life are much more particular than just the general polymers which matter does not make. The Particular Polymers of Life are composed of Critical Components that matter left to itself does not make. Matter left to itself exists on one level, and Living Things are composed of combinations of matter on an entirely different level from the level on which matter left to itself exists. Matter left to itself, dust, water, mineral, and gas exists as unlinked matter, non-polymer (or sub-monomer) matter (monomers are links in polymer chains, so unlinked, non-polymer matter is called sub-monomer matter, as it is also called non-polymer matter), but Life is composed of very special Particular Polymer matter, polymers being long chains of compound molecules, those often being organic molecules, meaning they contain carbon.

In denial of all this science, and of much more besides, we are being lied to by NASA, the schools, and the museums with claims to the contrary (out of ignorance or deception) in terms of what is known to science about non-living matter. The dust and water, minerals and gas of the planets are known as sub-monomer, or unlinked, non-polymer matter, and Life is made of Super-Special Polymers (highly-linked matter) --- and not just Super-Special Polymers, the kind which non-living matter never produces --- but even those Super-Special Polymers are nothing without Super-Exquisite Arrangement into Deeply-Imbedded, Multi-Dimensional Structures --- which are far, far, far, far, far, far, far beyond the properties of matter to produce. Dust and minerals, water and gas (sub-monomer, unlinked matter) cannot even "form and sustain" even general polymers useless to Life, must less Gather, and still less, ever Arrange, even general polymers useless to Life; and still much less Produce, Gather, .and.(all are required)/or Arrange, the Super-Special Particular Polymers of Life, as the science cited on this site will show. The short papers on this site make completely clear to anyone with an open mind that Life cannot come from the properties of matter. So weep, materialists, who claim Life comes from some property of matter, because the baselessness of your false religion parading as science is becoming known to people as it is already known to God --- The Only Conceivable Creator/Arranger, in view of matter's impotence --- it is becoming known to people who thus serve the Truth of God as they heed truthful science!

And the fact that matter left to itself cannot produce Life has some important implications. Many have been sold, and NASA is basing its pitch (for money), to "look" for Life in space, on the idea that Life Could have come from the properties of matter, but since science makes clear that Life could Not have come from the properties of matter, it means NASA is misled and misleading America with its policy. Of course, to many people at NASA, the claim that Life came from the properties of matter is a religion they wish to believe in spite of the scientific facts showing that Life could not have come from the properties of matter, and it is in pursuit of their religion of materialism that NASA is calling for on tons of tax dollars to spend on rockets, and nonsense plans about Mars which are never going to succeed in finding any Life. How our Government can allow our tax dollars to be spent on projects in pursuit of the Establishment of the materialist religion in violation of the First Amendment of the Constitution of these United States, is unexplainable except for the fact that the perverse, sinful nature of man has been allowed to run so amok among us that we have been led astray, away from a correct understanding of the facts of science concerning what matter can and cannot do.

As you will see, if you read any of these articles at all, SCIENCE SHOWS VERY CLEARLY, IF YOU KNOW WHERE TO LOOK, THAT LIFE COULD NOT HAVE COME FROM THE PROPERTIES OF MATTER, and it is very clear that since matter could not have arranged Life, which is ARRANGED in the form of Super-Special Particular Polymer (Linked) matter (which matter'S properties never "do", left alone) --- so in the only available alternative, Life must have been Arranged (capitalized because of the monumental wonder of the job), and such Arrangement could only have come from a Super-Intelligent Arranger, a Creator of us all, of all Living Things, every one.

     And this is very important for yet another reason --- because we have been told that the Dino-Creatures and other Giants and smaller extinct creatures whose fossilized remains lie in the Sediments of the Crust of the Earth simply developed from the properties of matter, but we see now that this cannot be true, so it is quite clear that what matter could not do, An Arranger must have done: there is no other answer. Space could not have created them, and if matter could not produce Life, as science shows, then how could Life have been produced, except by a Creator?

    And if the properties of matter could not make those Once-Living Things now fossilized in the sediments of the earth's crust over short time or long, that limitation was not imposed on the Arranger. Our Life is so Magnificently, Bio-chemically, Selectively Complex, that it could not have been put together "an atom here, an atom there, and nothing in between". The properties of the matter involved in the structures which make up Living Systems had to be held in suspension while the otherwise reactive molecules were assembled (or reacting, they would have disassembled prematurely), and once assembled, all the inter-dependent, inter-cooperative organ, working and interfacing components of the system(s) co-related to one another had to be "all present and simultaneously ready to interact" --- all present and accounted for --- for any of them to be of any good at all to sustaining the metabolism of the organism. The creation of each Kind had to be done all at once. Furthermore, the hospitable environment provided with the nourishing food they would need to metabolize from the day they began to live had to be present and ready-to-serve, for they would need nourishment from the day they were made. Our Creator therefore evidently made all Living Things, in their Kinds, "with seed in them, each according to its Kind" (one of many requirements of continuity), in short order.

    So what the properties of matter could not produce over even vast time contrary to what we have been so often and falsely told, an Arranger evidently did produce, and quickly, just as The Arranger created the universe in short order. The magnitudes of the two jobs seem to me to be about the same, the one (the universe) in magnitude, and the other (Living Systems), in "minitude".   The Arranging of Super-Special Polymer Life out of unlinked (sub-monomer) matter formed into zillion part assemblies smaller than the head of pin is no easy task, but One on a par with Creating the universe. It seems sort of like a Chinese box-within-a-box-within-a-box ... situation, on a Creator-of-the-universe scale, and One Who could create the universe certainly had the requisite Creativity and Power to Arrange the Diverse Kinds of Living Things on the earth, Kinds so separate and different (with, of course, the capacity for varieties of genetic expression within each Kind).

The upshot of the matter is, that while we have been told the Creator and Arranger of Life took a long time to do the job of arranging Life, by assigning the job to matter, the truth is that science shows matter was not given any property of originating Life, whether over short time or long, so those sedimentary banks containing the remains of Living Things of Diverse Kinds cannot possibly represent vast periods of time over which Life "developed" as any consequence of the properties of matter (that cannot happen); instead, the families of those Diverse Kinds of creatures, formed by a Creator, "DNA and all, large and small", the creatures whose remains are fossilized in the banks of sediment, including those offspring of the human family, had to be produced quickly by the Arranging Power and Skill of an Arranger, and buried by something other than time. As the verse in From the Beginning puts it:

And what buried them deep in the banks of the earth?
'Twasn’t time, as so often’s been said -
Time doesn’t move lands in that volume, you see,
no, or sort it in vast and deep beds ---
So great in extent that they cover whole states,
even stretches of great continents ---
But St. Helens has shown us how fast they can form,
when the earth that we live on is rent.

And as you will see if you read on, those sedimentary banks did not take long times to form, but were formed rapidly by a humongous Volcanic, Oceanic, Inundational Cataclysmic Event (VOICE), which moved virtually all of those sediments in a very short period. Colorado State University's Engineering Department has learned that banks of sediment on top of one another form simultaneously all at once, when and only when volumes of different sediments are moved all at once, whether in water, air, or vacuum. We have a record of just such an event happening on the earth. The Historical Record given in The Holy and Historically Accurate Bible says that just that very thing happened to the earth over an 11 month period, during 5 months of which the sediment-laden waters kept rising relative to the level of the lands, lands which may also have fallen in elevation relative to their former positions, and relative to the sediment-laden waters, due to all the convulsions going on inside the earth with all the sub-oceanic volcanic activity. The volcanoes of the ocean bottoms must have continued exploding simultaneously and pouring out their material from inside the earth for about that 5 months. As Moses near ancestors recorded the event:

"All the fountains of the great deep" evidently kept exploding for a period of more or less 5 months, during which massive changes occured in the earth, including the formation of the sedimentary banks full of the bodies of billions of dead creatures which were alive in greater abundance than we have now, inhabiting the earth together, at the onset of the Geo-Erosional And Depositional Inundation Event (or GEA-DIE).

Relatedly, here is what George Washington said about the Origin and Understanding of Life on Earth:

"It is impossible to reason without arriving at a Supreme Being. Religion is as necessary to reason, as reason is to religion. The one cannot exist without the other. A reasoning being would lose his reason, in attempting to account for the great phenomena of nature, had he not a Supreme Being to refer to; ... --- George Washington, Programs and Papers, U.S. George Washington BiCentennial Commission, 1932, p. 275."
